Letter from the Administrator
Happy November, Hurst Plaza Residents, Staff and Families!
As the holiday season quickly approaches, I want to take this opportunity to do what this month is all about… say thank you.
It’s been one heck of a year, and no one could have imagined what this year would be. It’s been a year of sacrifices, unknowns, fears, frustrations and ever-changing rules and policies.
Thank you for your patience through it all.
Thank you for your continued support as we strive to provide the quality of care each resident here at Hurst Plaza deserves.
Thank you for your understanding of all the guidelines that seemingly changed by the hours some days.
And most importantly, thank you for being a part of our Hurst Plaza family.
We couldn’t have gotten through the last eight months without each other to lean on, and I’ll forever be grateful to have gone through this wild and crazy year at Hurst Plaza.
As we all know, we aren’t out of the woods yet as it pertains to COVID-19. While visitations have opened up to a degree, there’s still no telling when things will be “normal.”
Unfortunately, our annual Hurst Plaza Thanksgiving Dinner cannot go on as planned, and the same will likely be true for our annual Christmas Dessert Party. However, we continue to brainstorm ideas on how to make this unique year a special one for our residents and their families.
We will still have a great Thanksgiving Day meal prepared for our residents by our wonderful dietary team, and we will do our very best to make it feel like a holiday season should.
Until then, thank you for allowing me to be your Administrator.
David Collier, LNFA
